Perspective on our class trip to Vancouver
My perspective on this course has changed a lot, at the beginning of this course I felt as if everything we were learning was an idea. Like many people had plans of what they were going to accomplish, but hadn’t fully developed these ideas in real life. When the class visited Vancouver, right away I saw that they had electronic buses; there were car2go’s and tons of waste bins that had recycling, composting and other sorts of wastes. We visited many green buildings that had green roofs and their own rain water collection systems. Another thing I noticed was that there were many community gardens around the town. I started to realize that people were implanting this ideas and that Vancouver is really more sustainable than you would think.
